Death is viewed not as an end, but as a vital transition from the temporary physical world to the eternal afterlife; Akhirah. The spiritual process begins when the Angel of Death extracts the soul—gently for the righteous and painfully for the wicked—before placing it into Barzakh, an intermediate waiting realm where the deceased is questioned by the angels Munkar and Nakir about their faith and gets a spiritual preview of their ultimate destination. While a person’s physical actions cease at death, their soul continues to receive blessings in the grave through ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge they left behind, or the prayers of a righteous child.

Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (R) said; “I said to my father, ‘There are some people who say that the jinn do not enter the human body.’ He said: ‘Oh my son, they are lying; the jinn could speak through this person.’” Commenting on this, Ibn Qudamah said: “What he said is well known, because a person who is affected by the jinn may suffer, and speak in a language that no one understands, and his body may be beaten with blows that would fell a camel, but the body does not feel them at all, and he is also unaware of the words he is saying. The body may be dragged about, or the carpet on which he is sitting may be pulled, and utensils may be moved about from place to place, and other things may happen. Anyone who witnesses such a thing will know for sure that the one who is speaking through the person and moving these things is not human.”

Feeling spiritually dead in Islam is often a state of severe spiritual fatigue (fatrah) or a temporary hardening of the heart (qaswat al-qalb), but the very desire to fix it proves your soul is still alive and seeking nourishment. To revive your faith without burning out, you must strip away all extra spiritual expectations and focus entirely on the five obligatory daily prayers, performing them as a matter of discipline even if you feel completely numb or devoid of focus. Avoid the trap of guilt-spirals and instead gently feed your soul through constant, simple tongue remembrance (dhikr) like Astaghfirullah, or by passively listening to Qur’an recitations and lectures when reading feels too heavy. It is also vital to diagnose the root cause, as this numbness can stem from unrepented sins, an overload of worldly distractions, or even clinical depression and burnout, which mimic spiritual death. By protecting your basic obligations, introducing small but consistent habits, and occasionally changing your environment—such as sitting quietly in a masjid or surrounding yourself with supportive company—you can slowly dissolve the rust on your heart and rebuild your connection with Allah at a manageable pace.

The Battle of Badr severely shattered the prestige of pagan Makkah by wiping out its core leadership, creating a power vacuum filled by Abu Sufyan, who channelled the city’s immense grief into a strict ban on public mourning to fuel future military vengeance. The psychological shock proved fatal for the Prophet’s fierce enemy, Abu Lahab, who did not fight but suffered a septic head wound after attacking a Muslim servant celebrating the victory. Within days, he contracted a highly Illness and died in agonizing isolation exactly seven days after Badr. Terrified of spreading, his sons left his body to rot for days before using long poles to drag it into a trench and burying it by pelting stones from afar—a humiliating end that Muslims view as the literal fulfilment of the divine prophecies in Surah Al-Masad. Meanwhile, the historic victory consolidated Muslim sovereignty in Madina, where they established early Islamic rules of engagement by humanely ransoming prisoners of war or freeing literate captives in exchange for teaching Muslim to read and write.

In “Al Bidayah wan Nihayah”, Ibn Kathir mentions that Iblis, cried loudly four times, And Indeed everyone rejoices except for Iblis and his counterparts, because: Iblis cried loudly four times, first when Allah declared him as cursed, second when he was thrown out of heaven, Third When Prophet S) was born and fourth when Surah al-Fatiha was revealed. It was also said that when this Ayah from Surah Al Imran came down to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Shaytaan cried. Allah says: “And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah ? – and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. ” [Al Imran, 3:135].

In Islam, the “forces of evil”—primarily comprising Shayatin (devils) and malicious Jinn—do not typically override a human’s free will through physical force, but instead gain entry into a person’s mind and life by spiritual, emotional, and behavioural vulnerabilities. Their primary method of infiltration is waswasah (spiritual whispering), a process where devilish thoughts seamlessly blend with a person’s own mind to incite doubt, arrogance, or sin. These forces thrive during moments of extreme emotion, such as severe anger, or deep heedlessness (ghaflah), which temporarily lower a person’s logical and spiritual defences. Islam firmly emphasizes that the ultimate plot of Satan is inherently weak. Consequently, any negative influence can be systematically blocked and dismantled through constant remembrance of Allah (dhikr), maintaining ritual purity, and regular recitation of protective Quranic verses like Ayat al-Kursi, which restore a believer’s divine shield.

Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay, a Hindu professor, in his stunning book ‘The book is Kalki Avatar’ claims that the description of the ”Avatar” found in the Holy books of the Hindu religion, matches the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S), and no less than eight pundits have endorsed and certified his points of argument as authentic. The author produces the following sound evidences from the Vedas and other holy books of the Hindu religion in support of his claim: 1. In the Puranas (Hindu scriptures), it is stated that Kalki Avatar would be the last messenger of God in this world. He would be for guidance of the whole world and all human beings. 2. According to a Hindu religion prediction the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an isle, which again according to Hindu religion is Arab Region. 3. In books of Hindus, the names of the father and the mother of Kalki Avatar are given as VISHNUBHAGAT and SUMAANI respectively. If we examine the meaning of these names we shall come to some very interesting conclusion. VISHNU (meaning God) BHAGAT (meaning Slave). Slave of God = ABDULLAH (in Arabic) is the name of Prophet’s (PBUH) Father.
