As we head into Episode 15, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, along with Zaid and Bushra, are discussing the profound shift in Surah Ar-Rahman from universal dependence to divine accountability. The verses begin by reminding us that everyone in the heavens and the earth turns to Allah and is constantly in need, constantly seeking, constantly dependent on every matter. But the tone suddenly changes. The conversation moves from all creation relying on Him to a moment when they themselves will be called to account.
Key points of this episode:
• What is meant by “questioning Him” in these verses?
• Do even those who disbelieve, in reality, turn to Allah in moments of need?
• What does “Every day He is engaged in a matter” truly mean?
• Could Allah ever be unaware of the smallest details of our lives?
• Why does the tone shift in “We will soon attend to you”?
This episode clarifies that Allah is constantly managing the affairs of all creation. No question is unheard, no need is ignored. But a time will come when those who once asked will themselves be held accountable.
