Ghusl is not merely a physical cleansing process but a powerful spiritual act that renews our state of purity in front of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of cleanliness, stating, “Cleanliness is half of faith.” By performing Ghusl, we not only comply with the physical requirements set forth by Islam but also prepare our hearts and minds for worship and remembrance of Allah. Making ghusl correctly is important because it is a mandatory act of worship for spiritual purification, required to perform prayers and other acts of worship. Correctly performing ghusl involves a specific process of washing the entire body with the proper intention to be spiritually cleansed, which is essential for a Muslim’s connection with God. Neglecting it can lead to missing prayers and a state of spiritual impurity, while doing it correctly brings both physical cleanliness and spiritual benefits.
