What do you do when someone with more power, more leverage and more rights keeps hurting you, and there seem to be no consequences for them at all? Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan answers a question many Muslims quietly carry: the feeling that injustice goes unanswered and that nothing will ever change.
He explains that the power an oppressor holds is given by Allah and can be taken back by Him at any moment. تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ (3:26). Those who think their cruelty has put them ahead are making a horrible calculation and what they hoard and withhold will become a collar around their necks on Judgment Day (3:180).
The relief Allah promises is real, but its timing and form belong to Him, not to us. That is no excuse for cowardice. We are still called to stand up to the tyrant, even when we are small, and leave the rest in Allah’s hands.
