Hearts only find rest in the remembrance of Allah (13:28), so when the dhikr goes, peace is the first thing to go: anxiety, sleepless nights, needing anything to drown out your own thoughts, while the outside looks like the nicest apartment and car.
The real question is not when the glory days return; it is when the dhikr of our Rabb is restored.
