She had never been pushed to wear hijab. Most of the women around her did not wear it either. Yet years later, sitting in therapy after becoming a mother, she was asked where she wanted to be spiritually and an answer came out before she could even process it:

“I want to wear hijab.”

That moment became much bigger than changing how she dressed. Growing up, Islam had often been experienced through community, rules and routine. Hijab became one of the first major decisions where faith felt entirely personal. No family pressure. No guilt. No one convincing her. Just a realization that she wanted her life to be shaped less by what people expected of her and more by whether Allah was pleased with her.

And that decision did not stop with her. It changed how she raised her daughters, how she understood confidence and eventually became a means for other women struggling with hijab to take their own first step.

Sometimes Allah places the answer in your heart before you even know you were searching for it.
