Did Prophet Muhammad Paid Zakat Himself? This is a Short Clip of Dr Israr Ahmed English lecture of his Quran Tafseer.
In this video Dr Israr Ahmed, the founder of TANZEEM-E-ISLAMI, Pakistan telling us that zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muhammad (SAW) never paid zakat because he never retains anything with him. Gold and silver are the two values used to calculate the zakat nisab threshold. The nisab is the value of 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver. Once a goat was sacrified and all the meat was distributed among the poors. Only one shoulder retains because Hazrat Ayesha (R.A) knows that Muhammad (SAW) likes felsh of shoulder. When prophet came he asked what was left? Nothing was left except a shoulder that I was retain. Muhammad (SAW) said that what we consume will consumed and that we distributed is saved by Allah (SWT).
