There are some who fast and get nothing from the experience except for hunger and thirst. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said this in the context of those who abstain from food and drink but not much else. So does watching a haraam video break your fast?
The answer to this hinges on a technicality. There are actions that will break your fast immediately, and there are actions that will cause your fasting to go to waste even if they don’t cause you to break your fast right then and there. When fasting lacks any moral or spiritual restraint, it is devoid of moral or spiritual benefit.
