In this episode, we enter the second pair of gardens.
The imagery intensifies.
Instead of flowing streams, there are gushing springs, powerful, forceful, mist rising into the air. The language itself is stronger, more emphatic, more vivid. The experience feels deeper, more immersive.
Fruits are mentioned again, but now with a broader, richer expression. Palm trees and pomegranates are singled out, honoring what was precious to the earliest believers, while hinting at layers of meaning beyond time and place.
Then comes a profound shift in the description of companionship.
These spouses are described first by inner goodness, then by outer beauty. The emphasis begins from within. Character. Gentleness. Harmony. Then beauty.
The language also highlights something deeply human: exclusivity. Devotion. Eyes contained. A relationship free from wandering, insecurity and resentment.
What this world struggles to protect, Jannah perfects.
And the Surah continues to ask:
Which of your Lord’s favors will you deny?
