The Treaty of Hudaibiyyah allowed Muslims and the Quraysh to form their own alliances, with Muslims siding with Banu Khuza’a and Quraysh with Banu Bakr, Makkah’s hostile neighbors. Banu Bakr, supported by Quraysh, violated the treaty by massacring 20, including women, children, and a man seeking sanctuary. Banu Khuza’a's leader informed the Prophet, leading to the conquest of Makkah. Abu Sufyan’s negotiation attempts to reaffirm the treaty were rejected, highlighting the seriousness of the breach. Despite using family ties, Abu Sufyan’s daughter, Um Habiba, stood by Islam. The Muslim community, united against injustice, did not support Abu Sufyan despite his status.
