The first three generations of Islam were the closest to the era of our beloved Prophet Muḥammad (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the period of revelation, and so these are the best embodiment of the Quranic message and Prophetic Sunnah. A pristine authentic Islam that we are commanded to follow.
