Yasir Qadhi

During the Prophet’s time(S), a number of people converted to Islam when they saw the truth while some chose to reject his message. In this Episode of Lives of The Khulafaa, Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi covers some of the immediate family members of Prophet Muhammad(S), from his tribe ‘The Banu Haashim’, and in particular, ‘The Banu Abdul-Muttalib’, amongst them who became a Sahabi(The ones who converted from his immediate Uncles, Aunts & Cousins)

We begin with Abdul Muttalib, the grandfather of the Prophet(S). The number of children he had was not too clear, but most historians state that he indeed had seventeen children, eleven boys and six girls. These seventeen children came from six different wives Abdul Muttalib had throughout his life. His first wife was Safiyah Bint-Jundub, and from Safiyah he had two sons, Al-Haarith and Khutham. The order of the children is not specified but we do know that Al-Haarith was the oldest of the seventeen children.
