The criticism of Bani Israel is more obvious but in Quran at many places Allah (SWT) said that but not all of them were very mad people. Especially in early days during the reign of King Solomon, king Dawood and king Saul were a golden period. And then immediately after Hazrat Mosses (A.S) Hazrat Yusha bin Noon and his companions did a very good job. And then at that time there were people among his Ummah who took upon themselves the duty of preaching the book to Bni Israel. And Torah was a book of guidance for all the nation of Bani Israel. And Imam and leaders were raised by Allah (SWT) among them. A leader characteristic is to show patience not worldly power, not after the lust of this world, not fame of this world and he should have a real faith on the book of Allah.
Now no prophet is to come so it will among the followers of prophet.
