Delivered at the East Preston Islamic College in Melbourne, Australia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan’s khutbah this past week was targeted towards the Muslim youth.
Ustadh chose to share a pertinent reminder from Surah Al-Baqarah [2:166-167] on how those who were followed will disown their followers on the Day of Judgment. He draws parallels from these verses to celebrity and “influencer” culture that’s gripping our youth today, reminding them that their favourite online YouTuber, streamer, singer or famous influencer will not care about them at all when it really matters.
