Muslims and Christians should agree to follow what is Common in the Quran and the Bible – Dr Zakir Naik

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saws) said, its mentioned in Sahih Bukhari Vol. no. 1in the Book of Eemaan, Hadith no. 8, our beloved Prophet said that the religion of Islam is based on 5 principals, on 5 pillars.
The First is ‘La ila ha ill Allah, Muhammadur rasoolullah’
The second is establishing Salaah, the third is Zakaat, the fourth is Saum and fifth is Hajj.
The first pillar ‘La ila ha ill Allah, Muhammadur rasoolullah’
“There is no God but Allah and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the messenger of Allah.
It’s mentioned in the Quran in Surah Baqarah ch. no. 2 verse no. 177
“It is not righteousness that you turn your face to the east or west but it is righteousness that you believe in Allah, you belive in almighty God, you believe in the last day, you believe in his angels, in His books and his messengers”
I started my talk by quoting a verse from the Glorious Quran from Surah Ale Imran ch. no. 3 verse no. 64 which says,
قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ
“Say O people of the Book”
تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ
“Come to common terms as between us and you”
Which is the first term?
أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ
“That we worship none but one almighty God”
وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا
“That we associate no partners with him”
وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ
“That we erect not among ourselves Lords and Patrons other than Allah.”
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا
“If then they turn back”
فَقُولُوا اشْهَدُوا
“Say ye bear witness”
بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ
“That we are Muslims bowing our will to Allah (swt), to Almighty God.”
This verse of the glorious Quran shows us a way how to speak with different types of people especially the Ahle Kitaab, It says,
تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ
“Come to common terms as between us and you. Which is the first term?
أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ

We have to come to the common terms, to the similarities which are mentioned in the Bible and the Quran
