Mystery Of Ibn Sayyad And The Location Of Dajjal:
‘Abdullah b. Umar reported: ‘That Umar Ibn Al-Khattab R went along with Allah’s Messenger S in the company of some persons, to Ibn Sayyad, that he found him playing with children near the battlement of Bani Maghala and Ibn Sayyad was at that time just at the threshold of adolescence, He did not notice anything until the Messenger of Allah (S) struck him on the back with his hand. Then he said to Ibn Sayyad, “Do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah?” Ibn Sayyad looked at him and said, “I bear witness that you are the Messenger of the unlettered.” Ibn Sayyad then said to the Prophet (S), “Do you bear witness that I am the messenger of Allah?” The prophet ignored that and said, “I believe in Allah and His Messengers.” Then he asked him, “What do you see?” Ibn Sayyad said, “(Sometimes) a truthful one comes to me and (sometimes) a liar comes.” The Prophet said, “You have been confounded.” Then the Prophet (S) said to him, “I am concealing something from you.” Ibn Sayyad said, “It is al- dukh.” [Referring to Surah al-Dukhaan]. The Prophet (S) said to him, “Be off with you! You will never go beyond your rank.” ‘Umar (R) said, “Permit me to strike his neck, Oh Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet (S) said, “If he is he the Dajjal, then you will not be able to overpower him, and if he is not the Dajjal, then your slaying him will not do any good.”
