Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi delivers an exceptional reminder about Surah Yasin. It is known as “The Heart of the Qur’an” as the Prophet(SAW) said! The Prophet(SAW) also reminded us that Surah Yasin should be recited over the dead.
One of the main themes of Surah Yasin is the importance of time. Allah (SWT) says: “Exalted is He who created all pairs – from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.”
Of the signs of Allah’s power, is the night and the day. The day is stripped away so that the night comes, and we are left in darkness. Even the sun rotates in a pre-ordained orbit, showing the power of Allah (SWT)!
