During my recent visit to the beautiful island of Bermuda, I was blessed to visit one of the local mosques, an old structure that dates back to the 1700s (although it was only converted to a masjid around a decade ago). What really amazed me was that, centuries ago, this masjid used to be a place that housed over a hundred slaves, but today it houses the worshippers of Allah.

We were not planning a recording, so I didn’t have any expensive equipment to film the video, but I just couldn’t resist getting a small recording of the slave quarters with an iPhone, to share with you a story of how Islam has spread far and wide even in the most remote regions of globe, and how a place where people were once humiliated and forced into slavery, today is a place of honor for the Muslims of Bermuda.
