Verses 9–26 of Surah Al Kahf contains the story of the People of cave. A few young people who were believers of Islam lived in a time when they were tortured for their beliefs. On Allah’s guidance those believers were persecuted together with their dog and took refuge in a cave where they fell a sleep. And after 300 years when they return, the people of the city had become believer of Islam.
We should have a basic knowledge of Surah Al Kahf. There are some simple facts that every person should know and remeber. The purpose of memorizing these Aayaat and to benefit from this tafseer should not to be show off.
The lecture is presented by Dr Israr Ahmed who was a Pakistani Islamic philospher as well as scholar. He was a founder of Tanzeem-e-Islami.
