Allah tells us in the Quran that the tree of Iman is giving us our fruits throughout the seasons(all the time). So what is the benefit of having the tree of Iman? Why should we be eager and enthused to have and cultivate that tree?
The most important fruit, of course, Jannah itself. (Ie. Iman is a necessary precondition to enter Jannah) Our Prophet(S.A.W) mentioned in a Hadith in Sahih Al Bukhari: “No one is going to enter Jannah except for a Muslim soul”
Though we do believe that somebody who has never heard of Islam, perhaps this person was righteous or the other conditions are met, they might be forgiven. As a matter of principle, we believe that Islam is the only path that leads to Allah(S.W.T)
Our Prophet(S.A.W) said that whoever says the Shahada shall enter Jannah. Therefore, the understanding is that the one who is aware of the truth but refuses to say the Shahada, shall not enter Jannah.
