Sometimes another person cannot even share a story without us immediately bringing the conversation back to ourselves.
Someone mentions their trip and we respond with our trip. Someone shares an experience and suddenly we need to become the center of the conversation again.
When everything has to revolve around us, it becomes difficult to genuinely appreciate the people and blessings around us. Constant self-focus can slowly turn into entitlement.
Not every moment needs to be about us. Sometimes maturity means allowing someone else to be seen, heard and appreciated.
