In seeking guidance on the matter of forgiveness, our dear Aunty and dedicated student inquired with Ustadh Noman Ali Khan during the Akhri Moujza (Divine Speech Urdu) program in Pakistan. Her questions revolved around the extent of forgiveness and whether it is warranted for an untrustworthy individual. Additionally, there was a concern about being sinful by not extending forgiveness in such cases.

Are we obligated to forgive someone even if they don’t ‘deserve’ it? Will Allah SWT punish us if we don’t do so? What does the Quran or examples from the Sunnah say about this?

Ustadh Nouman shares his insights and thoughts on this complex issue.
