Surah Al-Jinn quotes the jinn at length and a question came up in the session that deserves a serious answer: if those are the jinn’s words rather than Allah’s, where exactly does the miracle sit? Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan resolves it through the difference between a poet and a teacher. A poet has to be original, because the moment a line resembles someone else’s he is accused of theft. A teacher works under no such constraint. He uses whatever communicates the lesson, which means he will quote Iblis, he will quote Fir’awn and he will quote the jinn. Allah describes the Quran as عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ (55:2), He taught the Quran, so the method is a teaching method and what is miraculous is not any single phrase but the way the whole thing teaches.
