In Islamic eschatology, the idea that “most of those who follow the Dajjal (Antichrist) will be women” is a sensitive topic derived from various hadiths sayings and traditions of the Prophet Muhammad S. Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, S said, “The False Messiah will come upon this marsh of Marriqanat. Most of those who go out to him will be women, to the extent that a man goes back to his wife, his mother, his daughter, his sister, and his aunt to shackle them tightly, fearing they would go out to him.” (Ahmad). This prophecy indicated that women would be deceived and swept off their feet by something that would turn their world upside down. It would appear to be positive, whereas the reality would be destructive. Scholarly interpretations suggest that this phenomenon is not a blanket condemnation of women but points to certain vulnerabilities or social conditions that the Dajjal might exploit during a time of immense trial (fitnah). The “love” mentioned in the query relates to being drawn in by his deception, rather than affection in the typical sense.
