The Incident of Bi’r Ma’unah stands as one of the most sorrowful yet deeply inspiring moments in early Islamic history, where a group of seventy highly learned companions of the Prophet Muhammad (S) were tragically betrayed. Sent on a peaceful mission of goodwill to teach the Quran and share the message of Islam with neighbouring tribes, these devoted teachers were ambushed at the well of Ma’unah by tribal warriors who violated sacred treaties of protection. Even when surrounded and facing certain loss, the companions displayed immense courage and unwavering faith, refusing to compromise their values. Their profound devotion was captured in the final words of their leader, Haram ibn Milhan (R), who declared success through his faith even in his final moments, leaving behind a timeless legacy of resilience, sacrifice, and ultimate dedication to truth.
