Mu’adh ibn Jabal (R) was a prominent Companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), renowned as the most knowledgeable in lawful (halal) and unlawful (haram) matters, a great Islamic scholar (Faqih), jurist, Quran reciter, and a key figure in early Islamic governance, serving as a judge and teacher, notably sent by the Prophet to Yemen. He was known for his deep understanding of the Quran, eloquence, and dedication to teaching Islam, earning titles like “Leader of the Jurists” (Imam Al-Fuqaha).
