When Prophet the Prophet (S) and his companion Abu Bakr were fleeing Makkah to Madina, the Quraysh placed a massive bounty of a hundred camels on their heads. Suraqa ibn Malik, a skilled tracker and horseman, pursued them. Each time Suraqa got close, the legs of his horse would sink deep into the sand, throwing him off. Realizing this was a divine sign of protection, Suraqa dropped his weapons, surrendered, and begged for peace. The Prophet (S) granted him a written guarantee of safety and made a staggering prediction: “Oh Suraqa, how will it be when you are wearing the bracelets (bangles) of Kisra?” Kisra was the title given to the Emperor of the Sasanian Persian Empire, one of the most formidable and wealthy superpowers at the time, making the idea of an Arab Bedouin wearing his crown jewels seem utterly impossible.
