What does it look like when Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan spends a few days with the Muslim communities of the Netherlands and Belgium?

The trip begins at an Islamic primary school in Maastricht that has been serving its community for over 25 years. Ustadh walks through classrooms during recess, chats with young students and sits down with teachers to learn how they bring the Quran to life for children as young as four. He then shares a vision of his own: kids who, by the age of 12, can not only recite the Quran but understand and explain it before stepping into their teenage years.

Next comes a Friday khutbah on Muslim minorities in non-Muslim lands, tackling an often misunderstood ayah of Surah At-Tawbah (9:29) and the danger of an “us versus them” mindset. The evening lecture introduces his upcoming work on the Quran and psychological trauma, contrasting a self-centered view of healing with one that is anchored in Allah.

Afterward, students ask honest questions. Why explore psychology if everything comes back to our relationship with Allah? What if you want to marry young but your culture says no? How do you grieve non-Muslim loved ones who have passed away? For that last one, Ustadh points to Ibrahim, who still prayed for his parents in old age, long after they had died
