Modern psychology hands out permanent labels. Once you’re called a narcissist, toxic or an abuser, that’s it. You’re radioactive for life. The advice is simple: block them, avoid them, walk away, because people like that never change.
But Allah never called Fir’awn a narcissist. Fir’awn stood on the earth and called himself God, and even then Allah sent Musa and Harun to him with a stunning instruction: go and speak to him gently, maybe he will remember, maybe he will change (20:44). Allah treated even the worst tyrant in history as someone still capable of turning back.
That’s the difference. Today we assign labels, and labels are permanent, like genetics. Allah looks at behavior, and behavior can change. One is a life sentence. The other leaves the door open.
