The next topic Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains the different pronouns used for Allah in the Quran including “We”. Ustadh highlights it’s only used in 1st person and never in 2nd or 3rd person with reference to Allah so it is the royal “We” not the “we” used for plurals. Ustadh explains that using “We” in the Quran indicates the formality and using “I” indicates the informality. Furthermore, Ustadh explained, using different examples from the Quran, that the usage of “I” is associated with either extreme love or extreme anger from Allah. One of the examples is “The Last Supper” in Surah Al-Ma’idah Ayah 114 & 115. By highlighting the connection between the Quran and Bible, Ustadh explains that one of the purposes of the Quran is to rectify the changes done in the Bible for centuries.

اگلے موضوع میں استاد نعمان علی خان نے قرآن میں اللہ کے لئے استعمال ہونے والے ضمائر بشمول “ہم” کا ذکر کیا ہے۔ استاد نے یہ بات واضح کی ہے کہ یہ غائب اور مخاطب کے صیغے کی بجائے صرف اور صرف متکلم کے صیغے میں استعمال کیا گیا ہے جو اس بات کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے کہ یہ جمع والا “ہم” نہیں بلکہ شہنشاہی کے لئے استعمال ہونے والا “ہم” ہے۔ “ہم” کا قرآن میں استعمال تکلف اور “میں” کا استعمال بے تکلّفی کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ مزید استاد نے مختلف امثال کے ذریعے یہ واضح کیا ہے کہ قرآن میں جب اللہ کی شدید محبت یا شدید غصے کا اظہار کیا گیا ہے وہاں “میں” کا استعمال دیکھنے کو ملتا ہے جس کی ایک مثال سورۃ المائدہ کی آیت 114 اور 115 میں “آخری کھانا” میں ملتی ہے۔ استاد نے قرآن اور بائیبل کے درمیان تعلق کی وضاحت کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ قرآن کے مقاصد میں سے ایک مقصد بائیبل میں صدیوں سے چلی آ رہی غلطیوں کو درست کرنا ہے۔
