When Ibrahim (AS) asked his people about their tamathil (statues), he was not only asking about physical statues. He was questioning the representations they had attached meaning to.

A statue may look like stone, but in someone’s mind it represents power, success, safety, or control.

That question is not only for the people of Ibrahim (AS). It is for us too. What representations have we built in our minds? What ideas are we devoted to without even realizing it?
