Why do we sometimes react instantly—before we have had the chance to properly think about what happened?
As part of Task 4: Architecture of Thought, this session explores the relationship between stimulus, emotion, thought, and response. It examines how the brain processes information, why certain situations trigger immediate reactions, and how our past experiences, emotions, and learned patterns can influence the way we respond.
???? In this session, we explore:
* What happens in the brain when we encounter a stimulus
* Why emotional responses can occur before conscious reasoning
* The role of past experiences and learned patterns
* How impulses influence our decisions and behaviour
* How awareness can help create a gap between reaction and response
The session ultimately asks us to examine a fundamental part of human behaviour: are we responding to what is actually happening, or simply reacting to what our mind has learned to perceive?
